Kent State Annual Fashion Show
Throughout my undergraduate education I have had the honor of being apart of the The Annual Fashion Show’s production team. I was able to immerse myself in the excitement and work that goes into planning and hosting The Annual Fashion Show. Through my experiences, I developed skills including problem solving under pressure and being efficient and accountable with limited time. I enjoyed the process more than I ever could have imagined. I learned that I am good at organizing my time and managing the rigorous schedule of the show. I plan to use the skills I have developed the last three years and continue to develop my leadership and collaboration skills.
Spring 2020:
Designer Liaison:
For 2020 I have the privilege of representing the senior design students as the Designer Liaison. I will serve as communicator and advocate for the senior design students as well as the expert on their garments during the show. It is my job to make sure that all garments are dressed properly and fitted to the models. I am also the contact person for designers if they need to voice concerns or questions. If garments are in need of repair, I help designers with finding a solution and execute it. My involvement began with the start of the year and will continue through the show dates April 24th and 25th, 2020.

Merchandise Co-Coordinator:
In 2019 I served as one of the Merchandise Co-Coordinators for the Annual Fashion Show. This management position is one of the most crucial positions as it manages the garments for the semester through photoshoots, fittings, critiques, rehearsals, etc. With 300 garments in the show, this position requires a high level of organization and responsibility. Dressing timing is calculated and mapped out to the minute, dressers and team are given instruction, and coordinated planning is made with various other teams including Model and Catalog.
Spring 2018 (Alchemy) & Spring 2017 (Reverie):
Merchandise Committee:
In 2017 and 2018 my involvement with the show I was a part of the Merchandise Team which is lead by the Merchandise Coordinators. This role was highly active and involved dressing models, fitting and measuring models, identifying issues with garments etc. This was a great way for me to enhance my teamwork skills and gain leadership practice. As a Merchandise Committee member, my primary responsibility during the show week was to manage the 60-80 dressers and any dressing issues that arose.
